OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Information Centre)The Israeli government is planning to allocate one billion shekels in favor of a settlement expansion plan in the occupied West Bank.
The plan seeks to build new settlement units in several areas of the West Bank in addition to expanding illegal settlements in the Dead Sea areas, Jordan Valley, and south of al-Khalil.
Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, and Minister of “National Missions” and Settlements, Orit Stork, proposed the plan which aims at encouraging Jewish settlers to live in the West Bank.
Meanwhile, Palestinian activists renewed calls on the Palestinian people to escalate their resistance activities and confront the Israeli settlement expansion plans by all means possible.
