BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli armed forces continued their bloody war on Lebanon for the 38th consecutive day on Wednesday, launching dozens of airstrikes and artillery bombardments on various regions of the country, along with a ground invasion in several southern villages, facing fierce resistance from Hezbollah.

Israeli warplanes conducted airstrikes on the town of Khiam and the course of the Litani River in southern Lebanon on Wednesday morning. They also targeted the towns of Al-Jabeen, Tayr Harfa, and Shama in southern Lebanon.

The National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes carried out an air raid on the Jebour heights in Western Bekaa.

In another airstrike on three buildings in the Haret Saida area on Tuesday evening 8 citizens were martyred and 33 others injured, the Lebanese News Agency reported, adding that one citizen was martyred and several others were injured in an airstrike targeting a house in the old town of Al-Sharqiya in Nabatieh.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the number of victims of the ongoing Israeli aggression since October 8 has risen to 2,787 martyrs and 12,772 injured. In a statement on Monday evening, the Ministry of Health stated that “Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon in the past 24 hours resulted in 5 martyrs and 33 injured.”

Since September 23, the Israeli army has expanded its campaign of extermination to include most areas of Lebanon, including the capital Beirut, through unprecedentedly violent and intense air raids, along with a ground invasion in the south, disregarding international warnings and UN resolutions.

In response, Hezbollah daily retaliates with rockets, drones, and artillery shells targeting military sites and settlements. While Israel announces some of its human and material losses, military censorship imposes strict secrecy on most losses, according to observers.
