BEIRUT, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), One person was martyred and another injured on Thursday evening in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas in eastern and southern Lebanon, particularly the Bekaa Valley.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said a Syrian national was killed and another person wounded in strikes on the Bekaa region.
Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes carried out two raids on the outskirts of Nabi Sheet, near al-Shaara on the slopes of the eastern Lebanon mountain range.
Additional strikes targeted the highlands of Beit Meshik farms west of Baalbek, as well as the outskirts of the town of Boday for the third time since sunset.
Air raids also hit areas near the city of Hermel and western Baalbek, including the outskirts of Shmustar and the highlands of Harbata north of Baalbek.
The agency said the attacks were part of a series of continued airstrikes on the western Baalbek region, accompanied by intensive low-altitude flights of Israeli warplanes. Violent explosions were reported across the Bekaa Valley amid ongoing aerial activity.
Lebanon has faced sustained Israeli aggression since October 2023, which escalated into open war in September 2024, leaving more than 4,000 people killed and 17,000 injured before a ceasefire agreement was reached.
Israeli violations of the truce have continued since then, resulting in additional casualties.
