GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Five Palestinian civilians were martyred and several others were injured in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip on Monday.
According to media sources, an Israeli drone bombed a car in Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, killing three citizens.
Earlier, two young men were killed and others were wounded when Israeli aircraft targeted a group of citizens south of the municipal park in the west of Gaza City.
In northern Gaza, a teenager was injured when an Israeli drone dropped a bomb in Beit Lahia town.
10 other citizens, including five fishermen, were wounded by Israeli gunfire in different areas of Gaza.
Meanwhile, widespread military activity, including shooting incidents, artillery shelling, drone overflights, and demolitions, was reported across Gaza today.
In a separate incident, a citizen died in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, after a wall of a building, damaged in a previous Israeli strike, collapsed.
The incident underscores the ongoing hazards faced by Gazans who are forced to live inside or near structurally compromised buildings across the war-ravaged enclave.
In a related context, the UN has warned that the situation in Gaza cannot be described as a full ceasefire, despite reduced levels of violence compared to last year.
UN humanitarian spokesperson Jens Laerke stressed that ongoing Israeli attacks and daily casualties mean Gaza remains under fire.
At the same time, Gaza faces a severe food crisis. Between 1.4 and 1.6 million Palestinians are experiencing extreme levels of food insecurity, with the threat of famine rising as Israeli restrictions continue to block aid and essential supplies, according to Laerke.
Humanitarian concerns are compounded by the approaching winter as hundreds of thousands of displaced residents still live in tattered tents and makeshift shelters, facing severe hardships.
The UN has urged Israel to ease restrictions on shelter materials, warning that without relief, the coming months could deepen Gaza’s humanitarian emergency amid continued military escalation.
