BEIRUT, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The overall death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since October 8, 2023, has risen to 8,953 killed and 30,643 injured, the Lebanese Health Ministry announced on Thursday evening, as Israeli attacks continue across several areas of southern Lebanon.
The ministry’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center said that between March 2 and September 17 alone, 4,386 people were killed and 12,407 others injured, reflecting the heavy human toll of Israeli attacks during this period.
Israeli airstrikes, explosions in Al-Mansouri
On the ground, Israeli forces continued attacks across southern Lebanon, with two consecutive missile strikes targeting the town of Al-Mansouri.
The airstrikes were followed by two rounds of extensive explosions targeting the center of the town and its fourth neighborhood. Powerful blasts were heard in the city of Tyre and surrounding towns and villages.
Artillery shelling targets Ali Al-Taher heights
Israeli attacks also extended to other areas of southern Lebanon, with intermittent artillery shelling targeting the Ali Al-Taher Heights on the outskirts of Nabatieh Al-Fawqa.
The shelling comes amid continued Israeli attacks and violations in southern Lebanon and a rising number of Palestinians and Lebanese killed and injured since October 2023.
