OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) demolished on Wednesday two Palestinian homes in Ramallah and Jerusalem under the pretext of unlicensed construction.
Local sources reported Israeli forces with bulldozers stormed the town of Shuqba west of Ramallah and started demolishing a house belonging to Abdul-Halim Thabet.
The two‑story home included a swimming pool and a playground, and was inhabited by seven family members. Thabet had been notified days earlier of the demolition measure.
During the demolition, Israeli soldiers fired live bullets towards other homes to prevent residents from approaching the area where the house was located.
In Jerusalem, the IOA demolished a two‑story house in the town of Sawahera, southeast of the city, belonging to Mustafa Zaatra.
Since the genocidal war on Gaza started in October 2023, Israeli demolition operations have escalated significantly in various parts of the West Bank and Jerusalem with the aim of displacing and expelling Palestinians from their areas.
