GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued violating the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, carrying out shelling and opening fire across several areas of the enclave.
A local source said Israeli artillery shelled areas east and west of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, as Israeli tanks simultaneously opened heavy fire.
Israeli artillery also shelled areas east of Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and Khan Yunis.
Israeli warships opened heavy fire off the coast of Khan Yunis, while IOF fired illumination flares over the al-Tina Street area south of the city.
Seven Palestinians, including two children and a woman, were killed and others injured Tuesday by Israeli gunfire and shelling across several areas of the Gaza Strip, as Israeli military vehicles carried out incursions and military operations amid continued violations of the ceasefire agreement.
The PIC correspondent reported that a man died Tuesday evening from wounds sustained in an Israeli strike near Abu Sharkh Roundabout in northern Gaza, bringing the number of Palestinians killed since dawn to seven.
Local sources said one Palestinian was killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of civilians near Abu Sharkh Roundabout, northwest of Gaza City, amid intensive Israeli warplane and drone activity.
Since the early hours of Tuesday morning, the IOF committed 22 new violations of the ceasefire agreement, including the detention of fishermen, gunfire, artillery shelling, ground incursions, and bombs dropped by drones.
Local sources said an Israeli drone carried out an airstrike Tuesday afternoon near the Civil Defense headquarters in the al-Saftawi area, northwest of Gaza City. At least 10 explosions were also heard after Israeli military drones bombed the al-Katiba area west of the city.
Medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital announced that a 73-year-old man died from wounds sustained Tuesday morning after being shot in the abdomen in the al-Mashala area, south of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
The same sources reported that a girl, Israa al-Hessi, was killed Tuesday morning after Israeli forces opened fire outside areas under their military control in Deir al-Balah. Several other wounded Palestinians were taken to the hospital from eastern parts of the city following an incursion by Israeli military vehicles.
A medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital said the bodies of three Palestinians, including two children and a woman, were brought to the hospital, along with eight injured people, following an Israeli drone attack on the al-Katiba area west of Gaza City.
The Gaza Health Ministry said four Palestinians were killed after an Israeli special forces unit infiltrated the al-Katiba area in an attempt to carry out a security operation, accompanied by airstrikes and heavy gunfire.
Local sources said Israeli warplanes carried out successive strikes on the area as military aircraft flew at low altitude over the Gaza Strip amid continued gunfire and explosions.
Death toll rises
The Gaza Health Ministry said hospitals across the Strip received six bodies over the previous 24 hours, including five Palestinians newly killed and one who died from earlier wounds, in addition to 13 injured people.
The ministry said a number of victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, with ambulance and Civil Defense crews still unable to reach them.
The total number of Palestinians killed since the October 2025 ceasefire has reached 1,326, while 4,398 have been injured and 815 bodies have been recovered.
The cumulative death toll since the start of the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,462, while 174,509 Palestinians have been injured.
The ministry added that the death of a Palestinian following a building collapse brought the number of people killed in building collapses to 34. The preliminary toll from the latest incident stood at two people killed, both children, and six others injured.
