WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out widespread raids overnight and early on Thursday across cities, villages and refugee camps in the West Bank, detaining Palestinians and blowing up facilities. The raids came as two young Palestinians were killed while confronting Israeli settler attacks near Ramallah.
Omar Mohammad Naasan and Khalil Rasem Abu Alia were killed by Israeli gunfire during confrontations that erupted as Palestinians confronted settler attacks in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.
The IOF also detained children inside the family home of the martyr Khalil Abu Alia.
In Occupied Jerusalem, the IOF raided the towns of al-Ram and Anata, north of Occupied Jerusalem.
Raids, arrests in Nablus
In Nablus and surrounding areas, Israeli forces stormed the city for a third time through the Huwwara checkpoint, raided several homes and blew up a workshop during the raid.
Israeli forces also raided the Sama Nablus area and the village of Duma, southeast of the city, carrying out searches and arrests.
In Sebastia, northwest of Nablus, the IOF troops carried out raids and arrests and detained the mother and sister of Palestinian prisoner Qutaiba Azem.
In the village of Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus, Israeli forces raided several homes and detained two people, including a child.
The IOF also raided the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, and searched several homes, while a number of young Palestinians were detained during a raid on the town of Qusra, south of Nablus.
Raids in al-Khalil, Jericho
In al-Khalil, Israeli forces raided the city of Dura in the southern part of the governorate and carried out raids and arrests in the town of Idhna.
In Jericho, IOF raided the city and its refugee camps, carrying out widespread searches and arrests.
The raids come amid an escalation in Israeli military operations across the occupied West Bank, alongside continued settler attacks against Palestinians and their property.
Palestinian calls have also intensified for escalating confrontations and resistance against IOF and settlers across the West Bank.
