WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed different areas of the West Bank last night and at dawn Wednesday, raiding several homes and kidnaping at least three citizens.
According to local sources, violent clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers near Qalandia refugee camp in northern Jerusalem after the IOF set up a makeshift checkpoint in the area.
The IOF also stormed the town of Hizma in Jerusalem and patrolled its streets.
IOF raids were also reported in Jericho and Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, where Israeli forces broke into and ransacked homes.
In al-Khalil, Israeli forces stormed the southern area of the city and carried out raids and searches.
In Jenin, Israeli soldiers kidnaped the father of martyr Nouruddin Fayyad from his home in the Wadi Burqin area.
In Qalqilya, one citizen was taken prisoner following raids on homes in an-Naqqar neighborhood.
Another young citizen was kidnaped from his home in the village of Funduq, east of Qalqilya.
The IOF also carried out raids in other areas of the West Bank, with no reported arrests.
In a separate incident, a horde of extremist Jewish settlers uprooted electricity poles in the Ras al‑Ain spring area, west of Qusra town in southern Nablus. This was a clear attempt to destroy basic service networks and deprive farmers and residents of water and electricity, in order to force them to abandon their lands.
