Israeli forces raid West Bank homes, detain several Palestinians

WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a wide arrest campaign across various areas of the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, kidnaping more than 20 Palestinians, including a woman, after raiding dozens of homes and interrogating residents.

According to local sources, the IOF raided dozens of homes in the town of Madama, south of Nablus, and kidnaped at least 14 citizens.

In Salfit, Israeli forces kidnaped Mahmoud al‑Barr, head of the trade union in the governorate, and another citizen after raiding and searching their homes.

In Jenin, four citizens, including a woman, were taken prisoner following IOF raids in the city.

Meanwhile, violent clashes erupted on Tuesday between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces in central Nablus, during which Israeli army jeeps were pelted with stones.

The clashes started after Israeli forces blew up an apartment in Nablus City after encircling a building for hours during the raid.

Flames and thick smoke rose from the apartment behind the National Hospital after Israeli forces stormed and detonated it, local sources said, identifying the property as belonging to the al-Zagha family.

They added that the IOF brought prisoner Hatem al‑Zagha to the neighborhood, where his grandfather’s apartment is located.

Earlier at dawn, a large number of Israeli forces stormed Nablus City, raiding several homes, including those belonging to the al‑Zagha and al‑Shakhsheer families.
