Israeli military operations across Gaza persist despite ceasefire arrangements

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Israeli forces carried out 14 new ceasefire violations across the Gaza Strip on Friday, including artillery shelling, gunfire, demolition operations, and intensified aerial activity by fighter jets and drones, according to local reports. The incidents were concentrated in both northern and southern Gaza.

In southern Gaza, Israeli artillery shelled areas northwest of Rafah and south of Khan Yunis, while Israeli tanks opened heavy fire south of the city.

The attacks coincided with low-altitude flights by Israeli helicopters and surveillance drones over Khan Yunis. Israeli naval vessels also fired heavily off the coast, while illumination flares were launched over western Rafah.

In northern Gaza, Israeli artillery targeted eastern Jabalia, while the Israeli military demolished residential buildings east of the Jabalia refugee camp.

Israeli forces also carried out demolition operations near the so-called American area west of Beit Lahia, accompanied by intensive drone activity over Jabalia.

The attacks extended to Gaza City, where Israeli forces demolished homes and residential buildings in the city’s eastern neighborhoods and opened fire on areas east of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood.

Israeli naval forces also fired heavily off the coast of Gaza City while illumination flares lit up the night sky.

On Thursday, local sources documented 13 additional ceasefire violations, most of them in southern Gaza, resulting in the killing of four Palestinians and injuries to several others.

Separately, Gaza’s Government Media Office reported Thursday that the ongoing war, now in its 1,000th day, has caused an estimated $80 billion in direct losses, according to a statistical report documenting the extensive human, material, and economic damage across 15 vital sectors.

Israel has continued to violate the ceasefire agreement, which was signed on October 10, 2025, through Arab and US mediation in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

According to official figures, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, has risen to 1,053, while 3,406 others have been injured.
