WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Israeli occupation forces and Israeli settlers intensified their attacks across the West Bank overnight and into Thursday morning, carrying out military raids, assaults, arrests, and arson attacks in Nablus, Ramallah, al-Khalil, Tulkarem, Jenin, Bethlehem, Salfit, Qalqilya, and Occupied Jerusalem.
In Ramallah, clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces in the village of Qarawat Bani Zeid, northwest of the city. Israeli forces also raided the villages of Deir Ammar and Deir Abu Mash’al.
In Occupied Jerusalem, confrontations broke out in the town of Anata, northeast of the city, where Israeli forces fired tear gas at Palestinians. Israeli troops also raided the town of Al-Ram and carried out house searches.
In the al-Khalil governorate, a Palestinian man and woman were injured after being assaulted by Israeli settlers in Masafer Yatta, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society.
Settlers also set fire to Palestinian-owned land during an attack on the village of Susya, while Israeli forces raided homes and carried out an arrest campaign in the town of Beit Ummar, north of al-Khalil.
Separately, a 16-year-old Palestinian was shot in the chest by Israeli forces during a raid on the town of Bani Na’im, east of al-Khalil. Local sources said Israeli troops stormed the town with military vehicles and fired live ammunition extensively at homes and civilian vehicles. The teenager was taken to a nearby hospital by Red Crescent crews, where his condition was reported as stable.
Israeli forces also searched several homes, ransacked their contents, and detained a number of residents.
In Nablus, Israeli forces placed concrete blocks at the entrance to the village of Surra, west of the city, raided the eastern area near the Beit Furik checkpoint, and stormed the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, carrying out widespread raids and arrests.
In Tulkarem, Israeli settlers set fire to a tractor and a civilian vehicle during an attack on the village of Ramin, east of the city. Israeli forces also raided homes and arrested several young men during their ongoing incursion into the town of Anabta.
In Salfit, a Palestinian was injured after his vehicle overturned while attempting to escape a settler attack in the Wadi Al-Sha’ir area, east of the city. Israeli forces also raided Salfit.
In Jenin, Israeli forces stormed the town of Qabatiya, south of the city.
In Qalqilya, local sources reported that Israeli forces raided and searched several homes in the villages of Hajja, Jinsafut, and Baqat Al-Hatab, east of the city, ransacking their contents.
The sources said Israeli troops arrested two brothers from their homes in Baqat Al-Hatab, while three other people were arrested during a raid on Jinsafut.
In Bethlehem, Israeli forces stormed the Aida refugee camp, north of the city, raided a residential building, and arrested three Palestinians after searching their homes.
The latest raids and settler attacks prompted renewed Palestinian calls to escalate popular resistance and confront Israeli occupation forces and settlers across the West Bank.
