RAMALLAH, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) ordered the uprooting of olive trees across hundreds of dunums east of Ramallah and issued a notice to evacuate a Palestinian home in Bethlehem, according to local sources.
The decision targets agricultural land in the areas of Oyoun al-Haramiya, Wadi al-Balat, and Wadi al-Zaytoun near the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, where olive groves covering hundreds of dunums are slated for removal.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli occupation forces also notified a resident in the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, to evacuate his home so it could be converted into a military outpost. Forces entered the town, deployed in several neighborhoods, and delivered the evacuation order to Rajai Adel Sbeih.
During the raid, Israeli forces also arrested two Palestinians, Fadi Ibrahim Mahmoud Shakarna and his brother Mohammad, after storming the nearby town of Nahalin and searching their family home.
Meanwhile, the Palestine information center “Muta” reported that Israeli forces and settlers carried out a wide range of violations against Palestinians and their property across the West Bank and Jerusalem during January 2026.
According to the center, 6,785 violations were documented during the month. Israeli authorities demolished 273 homes and structures, including 32 that were completely destroyed.
