OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation police kidnaped on Monday evening one of the Aqsa Mosque guards in Jerusalem.
Eyewitnesses said that police officers kidnaped Mohamed al-Zaghal as he was doing his job at the Aqsa Mosque’s al-Hitta Gate, adding that the police took him to the Qishla detention center in the Old City.
Usually, the Israeli police banish Aqsa guards and employees from the Aqsa Mosque for several days after detaining them for hours or days.
For years, the Israeli police have been persecuting Islamic Awqaf employees, Aqsa guards and Muslim worshipers, while providing protection for Jewish settlers’ daily mass break-ins and provocations at the Mosque.
