Karachi (PNIC) The issue of support for Palestine and Kashmir is a core component of the founding principles of Pakistan. Relations with Israel are a departure from the ideology of Quaid-e-Azam and Pakistan. The Quaid-e-Azam has an unequivocal position on Palestine, in which Israel has no place. These views were expressed by well-known media personalities, columnists, and social and youth leaders of Pakistan while addressing an online video conference organized by Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF).

Addressing an online conference on the Palestinian issue and Quaid-e-Azam’s policy, Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, Secretary-General of the Palestine Foundation Pakistan, said that experts on the constitution, law, parliamentary affairs, politics, and international relations also know that the position taken by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the Muslim League and other allies under his leadership on the issue of Palestine was democratically, legally, humanely and morally justified, solid and logical. He said that the issue of Palestine was more in the DNA of the Muslims of the subcontinent than their politics and that is why they were all at the forefront in supporting the oppressed people of the world. He said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah called Allama Iqbal a national poet and our national poet Allama Iqbal rejected the irrational claim of the Jewish racists by saying: If there is a right of a Jew in Palestine. Spain has the right to the Arabs. He further said that the position of the Father of the Nation concerning Kashmir and Palestine was very clear.
Addressing the conference, Nasir Shirazi, President, Center for Pakistan and Gulf Studies, said that if Pakistan today deviates from Quaid-e-Azam’s principles on Palestine and Kashmir, then it means that Pakistan will not remain Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan. He said that Quaid-e-Azam had launched Tehreek-e-Azadi Pakistan as well as Palestine Movement. That is why the Quaid-e-Azam established the Palestine Fund, and the Grand Mufti assured his support in a letter to Palestine. He further said that Quaid-e-Azam clashed with the superpowers of his time and laid down principles for us. Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan cannot be sacrificed on the wishes of a few so-called intellectuals and black sheep in the media in Pakistan today.
Addressing the conference, Abdullah Gul said that while talking about the issue of Palestine, he paid high tribute to martyred Qasim Soleimani over his efforts for Palestine. He said that the United States and Israel killed Qasim Soleimani because he was a strong blockade against the US and Isreal. He was a defender of Palestine. He further said that a series of incidents were taking place in Pakistan through which efforts were being made to pave the way for Pakistan-Israel relations.
Addressing the conference, well-known media anchor Aniqa Nisar said that the minds of those who support Israel are blindfolded. He said that this work has been going on for the last five decades, not today, in support of Israel. She expressed grave concern over the media’s support for Israel and said that the media could not be blamed because there were good and bad people of all kinds. Black sheep are everywhere. She bluntly responded to Israel’s supporters in Pakistan, saying that the elements who say that if Pakistan recognizes Israel, Pakistan’s economic situation will improve a lot are nothing more than a hoax. She further said that the people of Pakistan would never allow relations with Israel to be established. If any government tried to take such a step, it would be tantamount to the suicide of the government.
Addressing the conference, prominent anchorpersons and media personalities including Nadeem Raza, Owais Rabbani, Nazia Ali, Nadir Baloch, and Arif Al Jani, Nabil Mustafaei and Hassan Ali said that the issue of Palestine should be made a part of Pakistan’s curriculum today. The government should include Palestinian and Kashmir subjects in the basic curriculum. They said that speaking in support of Israel should be made a crime in Pakistan and legal action should be taken against such elements.
