GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Head of Hamas’s political bureau Khalil al‑Hayya has called on Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye to press Israel to stop its ceasefire violations in the Gaza Strip and honor the signed agreement, in letters sent to the leaders of the mediating countries.
According to Hamas on Thursday, al-Hayya affirmed in his letters that Israel escalated ceasefire violations in Gaza to intentionally sabotage ceasefire talks and evade commitments aimed at bringing stability to the population.
Al‑Hayya explained that Israeli violations in Gaza include targeting civilians, destroying homes, reoccupying new territory, and restricting the entry of humanitarian and medical aid.
The Hamas leaders affirmed that Israel’s actions in Gaza defy the will of the mediating countries and the international community, calling for swift action to preserve the ceasefire understandings and ensure a smooth transition to its second phase.
