West Bank, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Senior Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi has condemned renewed settler attacks on Palestinian farmers and schoolchildren in the occupied West Bank, describing them as “government-sponsored terrorism aimed at forcing Palestinians to leave their land.”
The Hamas official made the remarks following settler attacks in the morning on olive farmers and a school in southern Nablus.
Mardawi emphasized that the targeting of agriculture and education in the West Bank directly threatens the pillars of Palestinians’ presence and survival on their land.
He appealed to international child organizations to take concrete action to protect Palestinian schools and students against settler attacks.
In the morning, Palestinian students were evacuated from an elementary school in Jalud village, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, following an attack by extremist Jewish settlers. The same settlers also attacked olive farmers in an area near the school.
