GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Al-Haris platform, affiliated with resistance security in the Gaza Strip, has warned that gangs linked to the Israeli occupation are attempting to undermine internal security by spreading narcotics and other suspicious substances.
In a statement, the platform said the activities of these gangs were not limited to security-related roles but also extended to destabilizing society through the promotion of drugs.
It said such efforts were aimed at targeting young people’s awareness and weakening Gaza’s social fabric.
The platform added that exploiting the population’s difficult circumstances to distribute these substances constituted a crime against the Palestinian people and exposed the role played by such gangs in spreading chaos and damaging the internal front.
It urged Palestinians to remain vigilant, raise public awareness and treat seriously any suspicious activity involving the promotion or circulation of narcotics or other questionable substances.
Citizens were also encouraged to report suspicious behavior or movements through the platform’s “Contact Al-Haris” service.
The platform stressed that protecting society was a collective responsibility and that confronting the occupation’s methods and tools began with public awareness and the rejection of anything threatening the security of Palestinians and the future of their children.
A security source in Gaza had previously said authorities foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics through a route linked to gangs accused of collaborating with the occupation army.
The drugs were seized, and those involved were detained pending legal measures, according to the source.
The source said such attempts were part of broader efforts to exploit occupation-linked networks to undermine public security and damage Gaza’s social cohesion.
Security services, it added, were continuing to pursue anyone seeking to threaten the population’s safety and stability.
