Quetta (Palestine Foundation Information Center): The annual “Palestine and Al-Quds Solidarity Conference” was held at Quetta Press Club under the auspices of Palestine Foundation Pakistan to express solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people. The conference was chaired by Palestine Foundation Balochistan leader Allama Maqsood Ali Domki.
The event saw full participation from political, social, and religious leaders across Balochistan representing various schools of thought. Speakers included Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch (Amir, Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan & Provincial President, Milli Yekjehti Council Balochistan, MPA), Abdul Wahid Baloch (central leader, Balochistan National Party), Hafiz Muhammad Idrees Mughal (Provincial President, Central Muslim League Balochistan), Maulana Mufti Sanzer Saeed (leader, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam), Maulana Dr. Ata-ur-Rahman (Provincial President, Jamiat Ittehad-ul-Ulama Balochistan), Maulana Syed Ali Imran Naqvi (Vice Principal, Madrassa Khatam-un-Nabiyyin Quetta), Engineer Jamil Ahmed Kurd (Provincial President, Al-Khidmat Foundation Balochistan), Maulana Muhammad Arif Damrd (Rabta Secretary, Milli Yekjehti Balochistan), Iqtadar Ahmed Khan (Provincial Leader, Tehreek-e-Khilafat), and other prominent figures.
The conference’s communiqué announced that the last Friday of Ramadan would be observed as World Quds Day, with rallies, seminars, and protests across the province to express solidarity with Palestinians and condemn Israeli aggression. The public was urged to participate in large numbers to show practical support for the oppressed Palestinian people.
Speakers strongly condemned ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, demanding an immediate ceasefire, and described targeting of civilians, especially women and children, as a crime against humanity. Concerns were raised over so-called peace plans and councils that commercialize the Palestinian issue for political and economic interests, which the Pakistani public will not accept. Participants also demanded that Pakistan’s decision to join the “Board of Peace” be immediately revoked.
The communiqué emphasized that Palestinian resistance is a legitimate and fundamental right, and that Palestinian refugees’ right of return is inalienable under UN resolutions. It also called for a free and fair referendum in historic Palestine, allowing the original inhabitants to determine their own future.
The conference strongly condemned US and Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran and urged the Muslim Ummah to unite against anti-Islamic and anti-human policies of the US and Israel.
The conference concluded with a statement condemning the martyrdom of the great Islamic scholar and staunch supporter of the Palestinian cause, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, affirming that his sacrifice would strengthen the Palestinian freedom movement and bring the end of the Zionist occupation closer. Special prayers were offered for the freedom of Palestine, unity of the Muslim Ummah, and peace and stability in the Islamic world.
