Palestine Foundation Pakistan Organizes Conference to Honor Palestinian Martyrs

KARACHI (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Under the auspices of Palestine Foundation Pakistan, a Solidarity with Palestine Conference titled “In Memory of the Martyrs of Palestinian Freedom” was organized at a local banquet in Karachi.
The Solidarity with Palestine Conference was attended by people from various walks of life from across the city, including Islamic scholars, speakers, intellectuals, university professors, and men and women belonging to civil society.
The chief guests at the conference were Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly Naveed Anthony and Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri.
Addressing the conference, Pakistan Peoples Party leader and Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly Naveed Anthony said, “We condemn Israeli aggression against Palestine and Lebanon. Pakistan will continue to support the Palestinian cause at all levels; the issue of Palestine is a humanitarian issue. In Palestine, not only Muslims but also the Christian population is facing Zionist aggression.” He further stated that Ayatollah Khamenei, Yahya
Sinwar, Hassan Nasrallah, and other martyrs are martyrs for the freedom of Palestine, adding that the series of American aggression against Iran must end.

Addressing the conference, Opposition Leader in the Senate and head of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, stated that American aggression against Iran is aggression against Islam, and America must stop its aggression against Iran. He remarked that the martyrs paved the way for freedom by sacrificing their lives, and Pakistan should not become part of any Arab country’s war against Yemen. He added that the unity of Muslims is the only path to Palestine’s freedom, and a few Muslim countries are creating obstacles in the way of Muslim unity by establishing relations and normalization with Zionist illegitimate Israel.
Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, Secretary General Palestine Foundation Pakistan said that the Palestine issue remains the most important issue for humanity today.

Addressing the conference, the representative of Al-Azhar University Egypt in Pakistan, Sahibzada Dr. Uzair Mahmood Al-Azhari, said that the people of Pakistan should continue supporting the Palestinian cause, appealing to the public to play their role in assisting Palestinians in every possible way including boycott US-Isralei products.

Speaking at the conference, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Dr. Meraj-ul-Huda Siddiqui stated that after the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, America has failed badly. He said it is not right to call the people of Yemen rebels, emphasizing the unity of Muslim countries and demanding the formation of an effective alliance of Muslim nations for the freedom of Palestine.

In his speech at the conference, former Sindh Assembly member Mahfooz Yar Khan said that the boycott of American and Israeli products should continue in support of the Palestinian cause.
Addressing the conference, Nadeem Awan of the PMML, Anwar Azeem of Pakistan Muslim League (F), Allama Asad Iqbal of the Shia Ulema Council, Additional Advocate General Syed Arshad Hussain Shah, Rehman Babar of the Awami National Party, Rao Kamran of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Zakireen leader Allama Nisar Qalandari, and Muslim Pervez said, “We fully support the Nida-ul-Aqsa campaign appealed by Palestine, and on October 2, protest demonstrations will be held across the country on the call of the Palestinian people.” Speakers emphasized that Palestine and Masjid al-Aqsa are in danger, and defending Qibla-e-Awwal Masjid al-Aqsa is the responsibility of every Muslim.

The speakers strongly condemned the incidents of damage and desecration of Christian holy sites in Palestine by the Zionist aggressors.

On this occasion, Maaz Nizami, Allama Qazi Noorani, Abdul Waheed Younus, Major (R) Qamar Abbas, Maulana Mazhar Zaidi, Allama Kamran Abidi, Dr. Mahmood Alam, Maulana Zahid Hussain, Dr. Aamir Hussain, Dr. Sobia Irfan, Dr. Sadaf Mustafa, Farah Mahmood, Nadia Maqsood, Zubaida Shakeel, Allama Hayat Abbas, Allama Mubashir Hassan, Asfand Khan and others were also present.
