Palestinian Killed, Others Injured in Israeli Strikes on Gaza

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Palestinian was killed and several others were injured shortly before midnight on Monday in an Israeli attack on Gaza City, bringing yesterday’s death toll to five as Israeli violations of the ceasefire continued.

A local source said Ahmed al-Batsh was killed when an Israeli aircraft struck a vehicle near al-Basha Supermarket in the al-Saftawi area of northern Gaza City. Several other Palestinians were injured, some critically.

Several Palestinians were also injured in an Israeli drone strike near the 17th Roundabout southwest of Gaza City, while Israeli warplanes carried out another airstrike northeast of the city.

Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire east of Jabalia and around Jabalia refugee camp and Beit Lahia. Israeli forces also opened heavy fire north of Bureij refugee camp and east of al-Qarara, north of Khan Yunis, while Israeli artillery shelled areas south of the city.

Earlier Monday evening, 49-year-old Raafat Abu al-Zumr was killed and others were injured when Israeli forces targeted a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in al-Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis.

Before that, two Palestinians were killed and 10 others injured when an Israeli drone struck a tent opposite Yarmouk Stadium in central Gaza City.

Local and medical sources also said emergency crews recovered the body of a Palestinian who had been shot by Israeli forces near the so-called “Yellow Line” in the al-Mawasi area of Rafah, southern Gaza.

Israeli forces continue to violate the Gaza ceasefire through airstrikes, artillery shelling and attacks on areas sheltering displaced Palestinians, alongside demolitions and destruction inside the so-called Yellow Line and continued restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid and travelers.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, 1,372 Palestinians have been killed and 4,659 injured since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, while the bodies of 831 Palestinians have been recovered.

Since October 7, 2023, the overall toll from Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has risen to 73,786 Palestinians killed and 174,771 injured, according to ministry figures.
