GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Palestinian Land Authority announced a temporary suspension of all new sale, ownership transfer, authentication and registration transactions for land and real estate located within the “Yellow Line” area in the Gaza Strip.
In an official statement, the authority said the measure was temporary and regulatory, pending the stabilization of general conditions.
It said the decision falls within its legal and administrative powers and is intended to protect the public interest and safeguard citizens’ property rights from exploitation or manipulation under the current exceptional circumstances.
The authority said the only exception applies to real estate transactions concluded between ascendants and descendants, provided they meet all legal procedural requirements before the relevant departments.
It warned citizens against signing informal sale agreements, private contracts or irrevocable powers of attorney outside official channels.
Any transaction concluded in violation of the measure, it said, would be considered automatically invalid and would have no legal effect in the records of the Land Authority.
The authority urged citizens to exercise maximum caution and legal and national responsibility, and to refrain completely from engaging in any unapproved real estate transactions in order to protect their rights and properties.
