RAMALLAH, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas is preparing to postpone legislative elections scheduled for November 28, Qatar’s Al-Araby TV reported on Thursday.
No replacement date has been set, according to the report, which said Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine support the postponement.
According to circulating reports, the postponement decision will be justified on technical and logistical grounds, particularly given the difficulties of holding elections in the Gaza Strip and Occupied Jerusalem.
