Palestinian teen killed, others injured in IOF West Bank raids

WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian teen was shot and killed while seven others were injured after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah, amid heavy live fire at dawn Friday.

A high school student, 17-year-old Aseed Tariq Anis Al-Rimawi, was killed after being shot in the chest with a live bullet during the raid, health sources affirmed.

Seven Palestinians injured in the raid were transferred to Salfit Governmental Hospital in the West Bank.

Several other youths were arrested during the raid.

The IOF troops also stormed several local homes, broke the doors of commercial stores, and destroyed one of the cafés in the town, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.

Meanwhile, at least two Palestinians were injured with live bullets during an Israeli raid on the Balata refugee camp in the West Bank city of Nablus.

During the raid, the IOF broke into several local homes, wreaking havoc and vandalizing property and infrastructure. However, no arrests were reported.

The Red Crescent confirmed that the occupation forces opened their machine gun fire at the ambulances while trying to reach the injured.

Similar raids were also reported in Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem.

Another Palestinian was detained after the IOF broke into Khirbet Humsa al-Tahta in the northern Jordan Valley.

Meanwhile, violent clashes broke out when IOF soldiers stormed Halhul and Yatta, south of al-Khalil.

Tensions have been high across the West Bank since the start of the Israeli bloody aggression on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7.
