PLF announces Quds Day activities is capital
Islamabad (PNIC): Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF) Islamabad chapter announces last Friday of Ramadan will be observed as Quds Day under slogan Quds Pathway of Martyrs. In a joint press conference renowned scholar and leader Mufti Gulzar Naeemi, PML-Q leader Arbab Hashim, Milli Yekjahti Council Pakistan General Secretary Saqib Akbar, Tehreek-e-Juanan Pakistan Chairman Abdullah Gul and Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan leader Maulana Zaigham Abbas said that last Friday of Ramadan will be celebrated as Al-Quds Day. They appealed to people in twin city of capital that people may raise the Palestinian flags from their homes and show solidarity with Palestine. They demanded that the government should declare Al-Quds Day as part of the official calendar of Pakistan.
They said that the world is currently in a state of lockdown due to the Corona epidemic, but the oppression of Palestine is that for the last 72 years, the Holy Land has been a victim of the Corona virus, i.e Israel.
They termed Israeli atrocities in Palestine and Indian state terrorism in Occupied Kashmir as links in the same chain and urged the international community to take effective steps to eradicate a dangerous virus like Israel for world peace.
The speakers said that Al-Quds Day is celebrated all over the world on the last Friday of Ramadan and therefore Al-Quds Day will be celebrated in Pakistan as well. Although public gatherings will be avoided due to the Corona epidemic on Al-Quds Day, the public is urged to stay home and raise the Palestinian flag from their roofs and windows at 5pm .
They demanded that the government of Pakistan that to declare Al-Quds Day as part of the official calendar in Pakistan and that Prime Minister Imran Khan announce his support for Palestine by waving the flag of Palestine and Pakistan on Al-Quds Day from his residence.
