BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) An Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon on Wednesday killed Abu Naima Nasser, a prominent leader in the Lebanese Hezbollah party.
Al-Jazeera quoted a security source as saying that an Israeli warplane fired several missiles at a car in southern Lebanon killing Abu Naima.
Abu Naima was the commander of the western area of southern Lebanon in Hezbollah.
Dozens of Hezbollah cadres and leaders were killed by Israel over the past nine months in retaliation to the party’s involvement in skirmishes along the Lebanese borders with Israeli forces. Hezbollah said that it would continue to engage the Israeli forces until a ceasefire in Gaza is reached.
