WASHINGTON, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Pro-Palestine protesters rallied in Washington on Tuesday to denounce Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the United States, where he is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump.
Demonstrators chanted “War Criminal” and “Free Palestine,” calling for an end to Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza and demanding that the United States halt its support for Israel.
Netanyahu’s visit comes amid growing tensions with President Donald Trump following the war with Iran, as public and political support for Israel continues to decline across the United States.
The visit also coincides with the funeral of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, one of Israel’s strongest allies in Congress, at a time when officials in Tel Aviv are increasingly concerned that political, military, and electoral pressures are straining relations with Washington.
The trip comes as Israel continues its genocide and military campaign in the Gaza Strip, while differences in priorities between the two governments and waning public and partisan support for Israel present mounting challenges to US-Israeli relations.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, Israeli attacks since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, have killed 1,207 Palestinians and injured 3,914, while 803 bodies have been recovered from beneath the rubble during the same period.
Since the start of Israel’s offensive on October 7, 2023, the Palestinian death toll has risen to 73,333, with 174,023 people injured, reflecting the continuing catastrophic humanitarian impact on the Gaza Strip.
