DOHA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari said Israel is “delaying” the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, noting that responsibility now lies with the Israeli side following progress made by Hamas.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Al Ansari said Qatar continues to work in coordination with the United States and its regional partners to ensure the implementation of the Gaza agreement. He expressed hope that the international community would exert pressure on Israel to fulfill its obligations.
Al Ansari said the escalation on the ground has become increasingly evident in both the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, amid a continued rise in the Palestinian death toll. He stressed the need for the international community to take a position on the ongoing developments.
He added that Doha is working with its partners to ensure an international response proportionate to “Israeli conduct,” amid continued escalation and Israel’s failure to fully implement the provisions of the agreement.
