Resheq: West Bank operations “natural and legitimate response”

AL-KHALIL, (The Palestine Information Centre)Member of Hamas’s political bureau Ezzat al-Resheq has described the shooting operations in Huwara town and al-Khalil as a “natural and legitimate response to the crimes that are committed by Israeli forces and settlers against the Palestinian people and their aggression against the Aqsa Mosque.”

In press remarks on Tuesday, Resheq also called the Huwara and al-Khalil operations a “slap in the Israeli occupation’s face” and a “major setback for all its failed security measures.”

The Hamas official affirmed that the resistance operations are the only solution to protect the future of the Palestinian presence in the occupied West Bank against Israeli settlement projects.

On Monday, resistance fighters carried out a shooting operation on a road near the illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba in al-Khalil, killing one settler and wounding another one seriously.

A shooting operation also happened last Saturday in Huwara town near Nablus. Two settlers were killed in the incident.
