Scholars should play a role to aware the people regarding Palestine

KARACHI (The Palestine Information Centre) Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (JUP) organized a reception ceremony in honor of the leaders who came to Pakistan from Palestine.

A three-member Palestinian delegation that visited Pakistan on the invitation of Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF), led by the leader of Islamic Jihad of Palestine, Syed Al-Baraka, participated in the ceremony where they were greeted by JUP leader Dr. Uzair Mehmood, Allama Qazi Ahmad Noorani, Shakeel Qasmi, Abdul Waheed Yunus and others.

In the Palestinian delegation, the President of the Majlis Ulama of Palestine, Sheikh Adib Yasirji, and the Secretary General of the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine, Sheikh Yusuf Abbas, while the Secretary General of the Palestine Foundation Pakistan Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam were also present.

Addressing the ceremony, the Palestinian leaders said that the responsibility of the clerics is more than the common members of the society. It is the responsibility of scholars to convey rich information to the people about the Palestine today. They said that Palestine is the line between right and wrong.

Addressing the event, Dr. Uzair Mehmood said that late Shah Ahmed Noorani always raised his voice in favor of the oppressed Palestinians and our party and the current leadership is also following the same mission.

At the end of the ceremony, the Palestinian delegation also presented a gift of Palestinian scarf to the scholars.
