Settlers damage power lines, fence in southern Nablus

NABLUS, (The Palestine Information Centre)A horde of extremist Jewish settlers destroyed the last night power lines between the towns of Qusra and Jalud in the south of Nablus, north of the occupied West Bank.

Local activist Fuaad Hasan said that settlers damaged electricity poles along the road between Qusra and Jalud and sabotaged a fence surrounding swaths of agricultural land in the area.

Hasan explained that a large number of settlers escorted by soldiers had tried earlier to attack Qusra town, but local residents managed to fend them off, so they walked towards Jalud town and wreaked havoc on the electricity network.

He added that local residents also clashed with the settlers and soldiers in the area near Jalud.
