Settlers enter Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards under Israeli protection

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the Aqsa Mosque on Thursday morning under heavy protection from Israeli forces, where they performed Talmudic rituals inside the compound.

According to local sources in Occupied Jerusalem, the settlers entered through the Magharibeh Gate, conducted provocative tours, and performed Talmudic prayers near the Dome of the Rock.

The latest incursion comes amid continued actions by Israeli nationalist and religious groups inside the compound, including group prayers, singing, dancing, raising Israeli flags, and taking photographs near the Western Arcade.

Israeli authorities continue to impose strict restrictions on Palestinian worshipers seeking to enter Aqsa, including checkpoints, exclusion orders, and limitations targeting residents of Occupied Jerusalem and Palestinian citizens of Israel.

Meanwhile, Palestinian and Jerusalem-based groups have renewed calls for Palestinians in Occupied Jerusalem and within Israel to travel to and remain at the Aqsa Mosque compound.

The calls also urged Palestinians from the occupied West Bank who can reach Jerusalem to mobilize and maintain a strong presence at the site and reinforce the Mosque’s spiritual significance in the face of the ongoing attempts to alter its Arab and Islamic character.
