OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Jerusalem, has called on Muslim worshipers to frequent the Aqsa Mosque and intensify their presence inside its premises and courtyards to protect it against Israeli schemes.
In a statement on Thursday, Sheikh Ekrima said that the reception of the new Hijri year, 1448, should be marked by strengthening the Muslim presence at the Aqsa Mosque, urging Muslims to attend religious lessons and lectures and perform different acts of worship at the Aqsa Mosque.
“Israeli restrictions and checkpoints must not deter Muslim worshipers from heading to the Aqsa Mosque. The reward increases with hardship, and those who are prevented from reaching it after making every effort and attempt will still obtain the reward of their intention,” he added.
