GAZA, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)The Israeli occupation army continues to evade its responsibilities under the ceasefire agreement by making the reopening of the Rafah border crossing and the flow of humanitarian aid conditional on the return of their soldiers’ remains held in the Gaza Strip.
The Hebrew media quoted an official source as saying that the Israeli government has decided not to proceed with the second phase of the agreement until “all the bodies of the captives are handed over.”
The Israeli official added that the Rafah crossing would remain closed until “Hamas intensifies its efforts to retrieve the bodies.”
However, al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said it handed over all the bodies it had and was able to find, reiterating its need for heavy equipment to lift the rubble and recover the remaining bodies.
