IOF carries out airstrikes on Hezbollah-linked sites in southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out multiple airstrikes on Wednesday targeting areas around the towns of Zefta and al-Namiriya in Nabatieh district, as well as the town of Tebna in Sidon district in southern Lebanon.

In a separate strike, Israeli warplanes also targeted the outskirts of the town of Houmine, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency, which reported that four airstrikes hit the Wadi al-Namiriya area and three others struck Wadi Deir al-Zahrani. One of the bombs reportedly failed to detonate.

The IOF claimed the strikes targeted rocket-launching sites belonging to Hezbollah, alleging that military facilities and infrastructure used by the group in recent operations were destroyed, amid heightened regional tensions.

On Tuesday, the IOF also targeted al-Kasayir neighborhood east of the town of Mais al-Jabal in southern Lebanon, near the border, in a renewed attack on the area.

During the early morning hours, Israeli forces targeted a three-story residential building, causing significant damage to a nearby cemetery. The explosion was heard across the town.

In a separate incident, an Israeli drone dropped a stun grenade near workers and farmers in orchards on the outskirts of the town of al-Wazzani in southern Lebanon, according to local sources.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli drones struck a vehicle on the Aqtnit road in the Zahrani area of Sidon district, killing three people, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.
