The aggression in Gaza should be stopped immediately

Karachi (Palestine Foundation Information Center)  Speaking at the Second International Palestine Conference at the University of Karachi, the speakers demanded an immediate stop to the aggression in Gaza and said that the issue of Palestine is not the issue of Arabs or Muslims anymore, but the issue of humanity. The International Community has failed to solve the issue of Palestine.
The Second International Solidarity conference titled: “The Palestine Quest” was organized by Palestine Academic Forum, the Palestine Foundation of Pakistan (PLF) while the conference was chaired by Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi Professor Dr. Khalid Mehmood Iraqi.
The Consul General and representatives of Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran, and the Russian Federation participated in the conference.
Dean of Islamic Studies Prof. Dr. Zahid Ali Zahidi, Dean of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Shaista Tabasim, and Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan also addressed the conference.
At the end of the conference, all the participants also expressed solidarity with the Palestinians by making a chain of hands.
Speaking at the International Palestine Solidarity Conference, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi said that we have gathered here to express solidarity with the Palestinians, this is not only an issue of Muslims and Arabs but of the whole humanity. It is a matter of justice and equality. The international community has failed to solve the Palestine issue. Western governments have also been exposed due to their double standards. Both the Palestine and the Kashmir issues are the result of colonialism policies in West Asia and South Asia.
The vice-chancellor of the University of Karachi, through a resolution in the House, demanded an immediate ceasefire in Palestine and an end to the aggression on Gaza. He supported Pakistan’s stand presented in the International Court of Justice for free and independent Palestine and said that we support the right of return and self-determination of Palestinians.
Speaking at the conference, Malaysia’s Consul General Harman Hardinata said that 2.3 million people are homeless in Palestine, the martyrdom is around 30 thousand, while the number of dead women and children is high, the infrastructure of Gaza has been destroyed.
Consul General of Turkey, Cemal Sangu, said on this occasion that not only crimes are being committed in Gaza, but also systematic genocide of Palestinians is ongoing. He said that due to the delay in support from our (Muslim world) side, Israel has tried to remove this issue from Palestine and present it as a issue of Hamas. It is a shame for us that we people are presenting a new statistic daily but are not able to do anything for Palestine. At this time, all Ummah will have to unite on this issue, if they do not unite against Israel and do not show solidarity with the Palestinians, today Palestine is under the attack of Israel, tomorrow it will be Lebanon, then Turkey and many more things may happen. We have to question why the Muslim world is silent compared to Israel, it’s time to wake up and We have to unite.
Addressing the conference, Consul General of Indonesia Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat said on this occasion that it is time that we now have to think about changing the veto power members of the Security Council.
Satinslove, the representative of the Russian Federation, expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Nourian, said that in 1917, the British rulers started to pave the way for the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine, and in 1948, the Jews occupied 78 percent of the land of Palestine and declared their state. Imam Khomeini said that the existence of Israel is like a cancer in the chest of the Islamic world, so Iran strongly condemns every cruelty and brutality committed by Israel. We do strongly support Right of Return to Palestine for all displaced Palestinians, Right of Self Determination and Right legitimate defense, and it is according to the UN Charter and international law.
Dr. Shaista Tabsum said on this occasion that the situation in Palestine is very tense and there are some hidden reasons for the ongoing Israeli brutality in Palestine. The International Court of Justice has given an advisory opinion that Israeli aggression on people in Palestine is “genocide”. Israel wants to occupy all of Gaza because documents show that Gaza has huge oil and gas reserves in the coastal area of Gaza. Now the situation is that there is no law, medical facilities have disappeared due to the destruction of hospitals, mosques have been demolished, about 50% of the 30,000 martyrs are children, millions of people are homeless, a similar situation in Kashmir. The people there are also victims of brutality.
Dean Faculty of Islamic Studies Dr. Zahid Ali Zahidi said on this occasion that Israel was not founded on the basis of Judaism but on the basis of Zionism, one can talk about Judaism but cannot talk about Zionism. He said while giving historical references. That the Jews have never been oppressed in Muslim states, the oppression that has happened to them has happened in non-Muslim states, no one stopped them from coming to the Muslim lands, but the occupation of the Muslim lands by the Jews and their return to their homeland. From where is the law to expel, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah also opposed the recognition of Israel for this reason.
He said that if someone says that there are many benefits in recognizing the Israeli state, Israel is very advanced on the basis of technology, but now this “illusion” has also been eliminated by Hamas and how technologically advanced Israel is. It was told only in October 7by Hamas, while before this, Lebanon’s Hezbollah has also told in the 33-day war. He said that the issue of Palestine is not of Arab Israel but the issue of the entire Islamic world and a matter of humanity.
At the end of the conference, Palestine Foundation Pakistan Secretary General Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam thanked all the guests and participants of the conference.
