Tribute to the Journalistic Community for Its Prominent Role in Highlighting the Palestine cause

Karachi (Palestine Foundation Information Center),  Members of the Patron Committee of Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF), including Deputy Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Muslim Parvez, former Sindh Assembly member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Mehfooz Yar Khan, Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Pir Azhar Ali Hamdani, Qazi Zahid, and the Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan, met the newly elected President, Secretary, and cabinet members of the Karachi Press Club on Wednesday and congratulated them. They stated that the journalistic community has always played a vital role in raising the voice of truth.

During the meeting, the newly elected office-bearers of the Karachi Press Club, including Vice President Irshad Khokhar, Secretary Aslam Khan, Joint Secretary Farooq Sami, as well as Abdul Jabbar, Nasir Soomro, Imran Ayub, Sheema Siddiqui, and others were present. Secretary Information of Palestine Foundation Pakistan, Ali Ahmer, was also present on the occasion.

While addressing the gathering, Secretary General of PLF Pakistan, Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, said that the United States is pursuing a policy of spreading anarchy across the world. He stated that under a new doctrine, the CIA has been making continuous efforts to create chaos globally since the election of the U.S. President Trump. He said that President Trump’s statements and political conduct pose a threat to world peace and are giving rise to anarchy. He termed the recent abduction of President Maduro in Venezuela as open aggression and terrorism.

On the occasion, he paid tribute to Pakistani journalists and the Karachi Press Club for their services in highlighting the Palestine issue. He said that hundreds of journalists have embraced martyrdom in Palestine as a result of Israeli aggression, and paid homage to the sacrifices of all those journalists.

Speaking on the occasion, Karachi Press Club Secretary Aslam Khan said that the Palestine cause is a shared cause for all of us, and that Palestine Foundation Pakistan has played an exemplary role in keeping this cause alive in Pakistan, for which there is no parallel. He said that the voice of truth cannot be silenced. He further added that the journalistic community and the Karachi Press Club have always struggled to highlight the Palestine issue and will continue this struggle in the future as well.

He also thanked the delegation of Palestine Foundation Pakistan.

On this occasion, bouquets and sweets were also presented to the newly elected members of the Press Club.
