NABLUS, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Two Palestinian men were killed on Thursday evening after Israeli occupation forces opened fire near the Za’atara Junction, south of the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank, reportedly over allegations that they attempted a vehicle-ramming attack.
According to Hebrew media sources, Israeli forces fired at two Palestinian men while they were near the strategic junction located south of Nablus.
The same sources reported that soldiers stationed at the military checkpoint fired a barrage of bullets at a vehicle carrying the two men, killing them at the scene.
The Israeli account claimed that the shooting occurred after the two men allegedly attempted to carry out a car-ramming attack targeting soldiers in the area.
Following the incident, the area witnessed heavy military deployment. Israeli forces completely closed the Za’atara Junction to vehicle traffic while additional military reinforcements and ambulances from Magen David Adom arrived at the scene.
