WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed several areas across the West Bank overnight and early Thursday, injuring two Palestinians, assaulting others, and kidnaping several residents from their homes, amid scattered settler attacks.
According to local sources, the IOF raided the town of Tamun, southeast of Tubas, at dawn, searching numerous homes and detaining 17 residents for interrogation before releasing most of them.
In Qalqilya, Israeli forces carried out overnight raids on homes and kidnaped many citizens during a campaign in the town of Azzun.
During the raid in Azzun, troops assaulted a citizen inside his home and converted another one in al-Mansour neighborhood into a military outpost to hold and interrogate detainees.
Israeli troops also continued to maintain a heavy presence in several neighborhoods of Qalqilya City Thursday, including Nazzal, Kafr Saba, and al-Wad, while keeping the al-Tabbal district under military blockade since Wednesday night.
Israeli soldiers reportedly searched homes, a store, and farmland in Qalqilya City as part of an ongoing raid, holding several local youths for interrogation, according to reports.
A 14-year-old boy and another civilian were wounded last night when Israeli forces attacked local youths with live ammunition, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades during its Qalqilya raid.
Media sources said two citizens, including a child, were injured by IOF gunfire in Qalqilya.
In Tulkarem, Israeli forces raided the village of Ezbet Shufa, south of the province, on Thursday morning, searching several homes.
Soldiers photographed home interiors and subjected residents to questioning and identity checks during house-to-house searches in the village. No arrests were reported.
In Bethlehem, the IOF kidnaped a young man after raiding his home in the village of Husan.
Meanwhile, Palestinian residents reported a wave of settler violence that included arson attacks and the spray-painting of graffiti on private property.
In the village of Atara, north of Ramallah, a horde of extremist settlers set fire to two vehicles belonging to local residents at dawn and spray-painted racist and anti-Palestinian graffiti on walls and property before leaving the area.
In southern al-Khalil, settlers blocked the road leading to the village of Umm al-Khair in the Masafer Yatta area with rocks and placed an Israeli flag at the site, disrupting residents’ movement and access to the village.
In eastern Ramallah, settlers torched farmland near homes on the outskirts of Burqa village, in eastern Ramallah, igniting a blaze that quickly swept through the area.
