OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Thameen al-Kheetan, spokesman for the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, has called for ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and enabling the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self‑determination.
In a statement on Tuesday, spokesman Thameen said the position of the UN Human Rights Office regarding Israel’s rejection of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire roadmap remains unchanged.
The spokesman called for an immediate end to conflicts and for holding accountable those responsible for all abuses and human rights violations, including international crimes.
He insisted that any peace process must prioritize human rights, appealing to nations with influence to do all they can to safeguard these rights and secure a just, durable peace.
