Jerusalem (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A significant escalation in popular and organized resistance activities has been reported across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem over the past 48 hours, with a total of 18 resistance operations recorded, including stabbing attacks, armed clashes, and confrontations with Israeli occupation forces and settlers.
According to figures released by the Palestinian information center “Mu’ta,” the operations included one stabbing attack, one armed clash, one incident involving damage to a settler’s vehicle, four actions confronting settler attacks, 10 incidents involving clashes and stone-throwing, and one demonstration. One Israeli settler was also reportedly injured during the confrontations.
A stabbing attack was reported near the town of Osarin in Nablus governorate, in which a settler was injured. An armed clash also took place in the town of Aqraba, while clashes were recorded in Beita and Burqa.
In occupied Jerusalem, incidents involving stone-throwing and confrontations with settlers were reported, while a settler’s vehicle was damaged near the town of Hizma.
The clashes also spread to the Ramallah governorate areas of Deir Nizam, Al-Bireh and Kafr Ein, while a demonstration was held in the city. Clashes also broke out in Hajja in Qalqilya, Tammun in Tubas, Beit Fajjar in Bethlehem, and the Old City of Hebron.
According to Mu’ta Center figures, a total of 280 resistance operations were carried out against Israeli occupation forces and settler militias across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem during August 2026. The operations were part of continued resistance to Israeli policies and escalating settler attacks.
The August operations included six organized resistance operations and 274 popular resistance actions, including one stabbing attack, one attempted vehicle or tractor-ramming attack, and four incidents targeting settler vehicles.
Figures released by the Mu’ta Center also revealed that the number of settler attacks since the beginning of the current year through the end of August had reached 4,357, surpassing the total of 3,818 attacks recorded throughout 2025.
