West Bank (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Palestinian resistance fighters carried out 280 resistance operations against the Israeli occupation forces and Jewish settlers in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem during August 2026, amid continued Israeli military raids and operations and escalating settler attacks against Palestinians and their property.
According to the monthly statistical report issued by the Palestinian Information Center “Ma’ta,” the recorded operations comprised six major operations and 274 popular resistance activities. The report noted that the major operations included one stabbing attack, one attempted vehicle-ramming attack, and four incidents targeting or damaging vehicles belonging to Jewish settlers.
Regarding popular resistance activities, Ma’ta documented 46 actions confronting settler attacks and 220 clashes with Israeli occupation forces in various forms. These also included one incident involving the throwing of a petrol bomb, as well as seven public demonstrations and marches at points of confrontation.
A comparison of the figures for the past two months shows an increase in the pace of resistance activities. The center recorded 265 operations in July, while the number rose to 280 in August, marking an increase of 15 operations. This reflects a rise in resistance activities across the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.
The increase comes amid continued Israeli military operations, raids and arrests, alongside escalating attacks by Jewish settlers targeting Palestinians, their farmland, homes and property.
