OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A 19-year-old Palestinian, Nasrallah Mohammed Abu Siyam, died on Wednesday evening from injuries he sustained after being shot by Jewish settlers in the village of Mikhmas, northeast of Occupied Jerusalem, earlier in the day.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed his death, saying that Abu Siyam had suffered critical gunshot wounds inflicted by a settler. He was transported to a hospital in serious condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
Earlier on Wednesday afternoon, settlers, accompanied by Israeli military forces, raided the village of Mikhmas. During the incident, settlers reportedly stole dozens of sheep under military protection and opened fire on residents, injuring five people, including Abu Siyam.
The West Bank has witnessed a significant escalation in attacks by Israeli forces and settlers, particularly following recent approval by Israel’s security cabinet of a series of measures aimed at altering land administration and registration in the territory, further advancing annexation plans.
Since the start of 2026, 17 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 1,115 Palestinians, injured more than 9,000, and detained approximately 22,000 others across the territory.
