Casualties reported in central Gaza as Israeli strike hits residential area

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), At least one Palestinian was killed, and two others were injured in an Israeli strike on Tuesday evening targeting a house in central Gaza.

According to the PIC correspondent, one body and two wounded individuals were recovered after an Israeli helicopter airstrike hit a home belonging to the Talbani family in the Al-Khawalda neighborhood of Al-Zawayda town in the central Gaza Strip.

Earlier Tuesday, the Israeli military carried out airstrikes and artillery shelling across Gaza as part of the ongoing violations of the October 10, 2025, ceasefire.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli artillery heavily shelled the eastern outskirts of the Zeitoun and Shuja’iyya neighborhoods east of Gaza City, areas where Israeli forces are deployed. At least one airstrike was also reported in the same locations, though the exact target was not immediately known.

Witnesses also said Israeli naval forces fired randomly off the coast of Gaza City.

Israeli fighter jets also launched an airstrike on eastern areas of central Gaza, within zones where Israeli forces are present, according to the same sources.

The Israeli military has continued to carry out daily violations of the ceasefire through shelling and gunfire. Since the agreement took effect in October 2025, 648 Palestinians have been killed and 1,728 injured, according to local reports.

Israel has waged a war of genocide against Gaza’s population since October 7, 2023, with US and European support, engaging in widespread killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and mass arrests while ignoring international calls and International Court of Justice orders to cease hostilities. A ceasefire was brokered on October 10, 2025 but Israel violates its provisions on daily basis.
