Peshawar (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan, Dr. Abu Maryam (Sabir), along with a delegation, met Awami National Party (ANP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Mian Iftikhar Hussain at Bacha Khan Centre, Peshawar.
During the meeting, the two sides held detailed discussions on the grave humanitarian crisis faced by the Palestinian people, violations of basic human rights, and the ongoing atrocities being committed by Israel.
Speaking on the occasion, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that the struggle of the Palestinian people is a struggle for justice, human dignity, and the preservation of fundamental rights. He stated that just as tensions between Iran and the United States should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy, the Palestine issue also requires a sustainable, just, and lasting solution.
He reiterated that the Awami National Party supports the right to self-determination and sovereignty of all nations, stressing that the wishes and aspirations of the Palestinian people must be fully respected so they can decide their own future.
Mian Iftikhar Hussain further urged the international community to play an effective and immediate role in stopping Israeli atrocities against Palestinians.
He added that ANP follows the non-violent philosophy of Bacha Khan and believes that war, violence, and force cannot resolve any conflict. Sustainable peace can only be achieved through dialogue, mutual respect, and justice-based decisions.
He emphasized that wherever human rights violations occur in the world, ANP strongly condemns them and stands in principled and moral solidarity with the Palestinian people, continuing to raise its voice for oppressed nations at every level.
The meeting was also attended by Provincial General Secretary Hussain Shah Yousafzai, Joint Secretary Shaheen Zameer, Dr. Shaheen Zameer (Female Joint Secretary), and other senior leaders.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation presented Palestinian scarves to the ANP leadership and thanked them for their strong support and stance on the Palestine issue.
