Four martyred in Deir al-Balah drone strike, dozens buried under rubble in Jabalia bombing

GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center)Four Palestinians were martyred on Friday morning in an Israeli drone strike targeting a group of civilians near Al-Mazraa Street, south of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. Local sources confirmed that the attack also wounded many others.

The drone airstrike came just hours after another deadly offensive on the northern Gaza Strip.

On Thursday evening, Israeli shelling targeted the home of the Dardouna family on the Jurn Street in Jabalia al-Balad, killing at least four people and leaving over 20 trapped beneath the rubble.

Local sources said that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) targeted the Dardouna family home which is a four-story building, adding that the voices of those trapped under the rubble could be heard.

Civil defense crews recovered four bodies and rescued six others but were forced to halt search operations due to a lack of heavy equipment.

Among the martyrs were Yasser Dardouna, Huda Dardouna, Musab Dardouna, and Hamdi Dardouna.

Medical sources reported that 61 Palestinians were martyred across the Gaza Strip since dawn on Thursday as IOF continued their intense military aggression.

The Israeli genocidal war, marked by systematic attacks on civilian areas and vital infrastructure, has now stretched into its 595th day, backed by US support and carried out amid widespread international silence.

The siege has severely limited humanitarian aid while the targeting of the remaining hospitals pushed the health sector in the war-torn coastal enclave to the brink of collapse.
