GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement has expressed its regret that officials from the Palestinian Authority (PA) in Ramallah joined the Israeli occupation regime in attacking the positive step it took recently regarding the dissolution of the government emergency committee in the Gaza Strip.
“It is also strange that the words used to describe this step are identical between a senior PA official and Israeli political sources,” Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said in a statement on Tuesday.
Yesterday, spokesman Qassem announced the dissolution of Gaza’s civilian governing body in Gaza. The decision includes the resignation of key officials and the end of the government emergency committee.
He affirmed that Hamas remains committed to staying out of post-war governance plans for the Gaza Strip, calling recent internal arrangements a step towards executing this commitment.
