OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement has condemned the participation of far-right Israeli security minister Itamar Ben Gvir in the demolition of an apartment building in Occupied Jerusalem, accusing him of using abuses against Palestinians to achieve electoral gains.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Hamas said Ben Gvir’s presence at the demolition site underscores the Israeli government’s “policy of state-sponsored terrorism,” describing what happened as “part of an escalating campaign targeting Palestinian homes in Jerusalem.”
Hamas accused Israeli leaders of competing for electoral gains at the expense of Palestinians and their land.
The Movement urged immediate international action to curb Israel’s home demolitions and displacement of Palestinian residents in Jerusalem.
Ben Gvir personally oversaw the demolition of a residential building and the displacement of 70 residents in al-Tur neighborhood on Tuesday morning.
