BEIRUT, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), At least eight Israeli soldiers were injured on Tuesday in attacks carried out by Hezbollah using explosive drones targeting Israeli military positions in southern Lebanon.
Hebrew-language media reported that two explosive-laden drones struck separate Israeli military units operating in southern Lebanon, causing multiple casualties.
The reports also indicated that military helicopters evacuated wounded soldiers to hospitals inside Israel for treatment.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli military announced that two soldiers had been wounded in a separate drone attack targeting a military force in southern Lebanon.
The developments come less than 24 hours after the Israeli military reported that a Givati Brigade captain and a military doctor were killed, while seven other soldiers were wounded, some seriously, after an explosive drone detonated in southern Lebanon.
Israeli media have increasingly highlighted concerns within the military establishment over Hezbollah’s growing drone capabilities and the challenges Israeli defense systems face in intercepting them before they reach their targets.
