NAZARETH, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Palestinian towns and villages across 1948 occupied Palestine (Israel) saw significant voter turnout on Tuesday morning as polls opened for the 26th Knesset elections.
Arab voters began arriving at polling stations as early as 7 a.m., with a heavy presence of Jewish observers, including representatives from far-right parties.
Despite reported delays in opening several polling stations due to alleged administrative procedures, activists from both the Joint List and the United Arab List mobilized to urge Arab citizens to cast their ballots early in the day to avoid anticipated congestion during the afternoon and evening.
According to the Israeli central elections committee, the total number of eligible voters stands at 7,331,981, an increase of 543,177 compared to the previous election.
Arab citizens account for roughly 18 percent of the eligible electorate, numbering approximately 1.172 million voters.
